The Assistant Manager will play a role in contribution towards the development and accomplishment of the clients business plan/objectives and plan, direct, or coordinate supportive services for the client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all day to day HR activities in the area and providing HR support for efficient operations in the business. The job holder will also be a champion of company values in order to create a desirable organizational culture.

Accountabilities

Administer the pay-roll in close liaison with the Accounts department

In charge of efficient day to day HR operations

Maintain and monitor the headcount

Manage the HRIS

Oversee work of support staff

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management

Prepare monthly HR reports for the Area

Supervise HR Assistant including setting up KPI’s and ensuring all HR related documents are in compliance with policies and standards

Labour Relations and Legal Compliance

Interpret and effectively apply various aspects of the HR policies, rules and regulations, including Tanzania labour law.

Drive and expedite disciplinary process and procedures in liaison with Compliance Head or consultants.

Draft employment contracts and coordinating smooth termination with support from Compliance Head or consultants.

Employee Engagement

Coordinate team building activities for all teams in Kurasini

Provide guidance, counselling and welfare support to staff.

Promote group values as a tool to shape the company culture

Coordinate and conduct exit interviews

Education

Human Resource Management or related degree

Skills & Experience

Ambition to help drive growth of a young company

Computer literate

Considerable knowledge of Tanzanian labour and employment regulations

One year relevant work experience

Self-motivated, attentiveness to detail & deadline-oriented

Strong communication and administration skill
