Job Description
Rafiki Social Development Organization is a development and advocacy Non Governmental and Non profit making. Organization working with Children, Youth, Marginalized and Vulnerable groups, families and their communities to reach their full potential by advocating for their rights and tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. The Organization was established in January 2005 and registered under the NGO Act of 2002, issued with a registration number No.00NGO/00006336 to operate in Tanzania Mainland. Rafiki- SDO has received funding from jhpiego/Sauti project to support and implement a project focusing on Key and vulnerable population to roll out HIV prevention and family planning services for highly vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) ages 15-24 years. - Interventions for this population aim to empower AGYW and to reduce their risk for HIV and violence. AGYW engaging in transactional sex, and sex work are among the target audiences for this application; AGYW’s families: Interventions for this population aim to strengthen the family economically, as well as the ability of AGYW who are parents to parent positively; AGYWs’ sexual partners: This activity aims to characterize “typical” sexual partners of AGYW in order to target highly effective HIV interventions – specifically increase access and uptake of HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC ) services, voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) and antiretroviral therapy (ART) for HIV-positive sexual partners of AGYW in their communities; AGYWs’ larger communities: These interventions aim to educate AGYW and young men, as well as mobilize communities to keep girls HIV free and safe from violence. The Sauti project is supported by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It is a partnership of Jhpiego, Engender Health, Pact and the National Institute for Medical Research Mwanza. Sauti is designed to support the United Republic of Tanzania’s goal of improved health status through a sustained reduction in new HIV infections. The project also aim at ensuring young women and adolescent girls are fully empowered and have the means to protect themselves , to live determined, resilient, empowered , AIDS-free, mentored, and safe lives. It seeks to make girls visible and change their social and economic dynamics by providing them with specific and integrated resources. The intervention targets the most vulnerable adolescent girls to change the course of the global HIV epidemic. Supported activities will include gender-based violence prevention and response, providing adolescent-friendly health services, such as demand creation, communications, HIV testing and post-rape care; and strengthening of families and communities, such as through parenting/caregiver programs and safe spaces for girls.
To facilitate smooth implementation of this programme, RAFIKI -SDO is therefore seeking to recruit highly qualified, experienced, motivated and dynamic individual to fill the following positions as shown below;-

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with Program Manager to ensure overall planned project activities are implemented timely and outcome focused.
• Work closely with program manager to ensure Empowerment Workers, PEs, biomedical teams are accountable in the manner that ensure all deliverables are delivered to WORTH+ groups with efficiency and timely.
• Writing reports for every activity and share with program manager timely
• Review data report and provide guidance.
• Reviewing and sharing reports written by Empowerment workers and share to Program manager
• Ensure roll out of BCC training to AGYW before joining WORTH+ groups
• Work closely with government authorities at LGA are well engaged in the project and sharing with them some reports as per directives and MoU to be signed and
• Other responsibilities as will be assigned for the betterment of the project and Sauti as well
• Ensure timely preparation of financial retirement with all necessary source of evidence to be shared with Account with focus on every incurred expense during project implementation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Social works, Sociology, Rural Development or community developments and related degree program from recognized institutions.
• Degree in Social works, Sociology, Rural Development or community developments and related degree program from recognized institutions.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• At least with 3 years of experience in managing health based project with focus on HIV/AIDS, FP, STIs and SRHE and other KvP Proven knowledge on AGYW and Gender based violence.
• Proven skills on Gender and women focused rights and policies
• Experienced in implementing project with focus on Key Vulnerable Population(KVP) Ability to manage team and meet deadlines which are results based
• Flexibility and ability to copy with multi-cultural/behavioral practices
• Proven records of good relationship with co staff , facilitation, team building and coordination skills will be added advantage
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
• Readiness to work under pressure ,ability to work under minimum supervision and willingness to work overtime for project prosperity
• Computer literacy is highly required ie word, excel, internet, power point
• Proven skills on Gender and women focused rights and policies
• Experienced in implementing project with focus on Key Vulnerable Population(KVP) Ability to manage team and meet deadlines which are results based
• Flexibility and ability to copy with multi-cultural/behavioral practices
