Job Description
BUBALE FARM COMPANY-Is a company dealing with producing and selling agricultural products, mainly sorghum, pulses and seed oil in Tanzania.
The company is seeking to recruit one agronomist
Agronomist Job Description.,
Coordinating soil Analysis to determine appropriate improvements for maximum production.
Field Inspections to ensure activities are in line with plans and to update crop production estimates.
Carries out Farm pre-production, production, and post-production plans and provides routine reports on the implementation of the plans.
Organize general activities like conservation farming to maximize the profitability to the company ,
Crop planning i.e. farming coordination, follow up on crop protocol and technical support.
Management of distribution of agricultural inputs supplies and follow up to monitor the right application.
Provide close supervision and timely reports to the office with regard to disease and insect management to prevent economic losses.
Manage the training of farmers and ensure proper plant spacing, quality assurance, soil preparation, cultivation practices, harvest practices and post-harvest management is implemented by staff .
Maintain proper upkeep of farm at all times
The qualifications for agronomist is as follows,
• Must be a bachelor degree holder in agronomy from reputable university in Tanzania or outside Tanzania.
• Must be able to work in rural and urban areas
• Should have working experience of not less than 3 years
• Good command in both spoken and written English, Swahili
• Should be hard working person with the ability to solve problems
• Salary is 750usd plus incentives on results
