The hotel is looking for a full-time, professional General Manager who will take charge in restructuring the hotel concept into a boutique hotel that will cater to business/corporate guests, young professionals and international guests. He/She will be responsible for property management in accordance with company mission statement, including maximisation of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. Responsible for the hiring, training and discipline of all hotel staff and all aspects of operations at the hotel.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
  • Oversee all hotel operations while ensuring budgeted results and strong financial flow through
  • Work with the Operations Manager in all aspects of business planning.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Oversees the operation of all property departments.
  • Respond to all hotel issues and problems to make sure the hotel runs smoothly each day.
  • Ensures that each new employee learns how to treat each manager, employee and guest with respect and professionalism.
  • Enable innovation and drive results. You execute successful sales and marketing campaigns, understand dynamic revenue management and can drive profit to the bottom line through strong financial controls.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to handle all employee issues and disputes, deals with accounting issues and invoices and supervises all employee hiring and layoffs.
  • Acts as the hotels public relations director and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community and trade associations.
  • Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
  • Monitor the Guest feedback on Trip advisor and other social profiles.
  • Facilitate morning meetings or conducts the morning HOD meetings.
  • Act as a Front Office Manager in the absences of the front office and operations team.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections.
Minimum Qualifications- Proven track record of success in hotel management
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements
  • English language proficiency, other foreign language is an added advantage
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
Preferred Qualities- Excellent project management and strong customer relationship building skills.
  • Leadership and time-management skills
  • Ability to solve problem quickly and efficiently.
  • Flexibility and ability to work long hours if required
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
