Job Description
Chama cha Uzazi na Malezi Bora Tanzania (UMATI) is an autonomous, not for profit, non-political national NGO providing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) information, education and services in Tanzania. UMATI was established in 1959 and is a full Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF); recently re-accredited by IPPF in 2015.

Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities
• Perform accurately blood tests for comlete blood count-Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, as well as analysis urinalysis and stoool analysis.Conduct chemical analysis of body fluid by using microscope
• Set up, adjust, maintain and clean lab equipment
• Quality assurance and quality control of the laboratory.
• Ensure adherence to all Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and rules/regulations
• Compile on a monthly basis a report on all tests done includiing inventory of laboratory stock and chemical reagents to ensure adequate supplies at all times
• Inspect Chemicals/ stock solutions/ laboratory materials in use on a daily basis.
• Maintain monitoring schedules, and ensure proper and updated laboratory document control and record keeping, including laboratory log sheets.
• Provide full support to the doctor and nurses in all dispensary works
• Ensure proper management and use of laboratory equipment and tools, reporting any defects to clinic in-charge.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
• Ordinary Diploma Ordinary Diploma In Medical Laboratory Technology (NTA Level 6) ) from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of two(2) years experience
• Knowledgeable on comptuter use especially Ms-Excel, Ms Word and Ms PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mwanza residents are more preffered
