Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced person to fill the position of Camp Manager in our company.
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP
As the face of the camp, camp manager should be a public relations.
With the ability to anticipate Guests’ needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.
VEHICLES PLANNING
Plan the vehicles/guides according clients arrival time/departure, game drive.
Assessment of the contracted vehicles (overall condition, tidiness, seating capacity)
ADMINISTRATION DUTIES
Every morning an email should be sent to head office containing the following: 1. Breakdown of accounts. (bar sales and expenses)
Detailed report of Activities of the camp of the previous day
Plan for each of the members of the staff must be sent with names of each staff and their daily tasks sent
PURCHASE
Camp manager should plan and budget always one week in advance the needs of the camp.
Every Friday a shopping list should be submitted for approval so shopping can be done following week (Friday)
Monthly staff food should be done once a month and must be done separately from clients purchase list
INVENTORY
Inventory of stocks should be done on last week of month (except BAR & KITCHEN)
Linen Stock should be done by CM and Head of Housekeeping
Cutlery Stock should be done by CM and head of Waiters
Crockery Stock should be done by CM and Chef
Hardware Stock (electricity, tools etc) should be done by CM and Maintenance
BAR, should be done on a daily basis, conducted physically between CM and Waiters
FOOD Stocks should be done on a weekly basis between CM and Chef
Inventory of the furniture
Except for bar and food, This must be done before end of every month
In case Such ANY of the intervenient will go on leave/off days etc a handover should be done BEFORE their departure
HOUSEKEEPING
Check list of tents must be done on a daily basis, Camp Manager must supervise in person after the rooms have been prepared.
All mistakes should be included on the report.
TEAM MANAGMENT
Camp manager should plan and supervise the staff at the camp, their duties and in case of need their training
The days off should be planned by the camp manager accordingly the needs of the company and the staff.
MAINTENANCE
The camp manager should supervise maintenance jobs according plan establishe
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
· Previous customer related experience an asset
· Non-alcohol drinking person
· Must possess a professional presentation
· Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skill
· Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible&reliable
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
· Non-alcohol drinking person
