Location: Nairobi Kenya
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the position of Project Manager, Retail Business reporting to the General Manager, Retail SME & Individual Channels in the Retail SME & Individual Channels Department, with the position being based in Nairobi.
Role Purpose
Responsible for the project management of all Digital & Retail Channel Related Products & Services, which includes end to end co-ordination of the individual project & project deliverables in the Region. (80% Kenya; 20% Region)
Responsibilities for the Project Manager Job
- Leading, directing, managing all project managers, stakeholders and administrators on all assigned project
- Effective management of project and product teams from diverse areas of specialization End to end effective
- Project Management including coordination, launch & Roll-out responsibility for all assigned projects as well as critical interfacing into Business Units from a project perspective
- Manage, design, implement and maintain a prioritization matrix for related projects in the project
- Ensure that the products and services roadmap are updated, agreed, measured and communicated Collaboration with all other Departments to ensure on-time delivery of all projects, including co-ordination of division project activities to implementation and successful roll out and closure projects
- Ensure adherence to the methodology and associated tools adopted by the organization Stakeholder management and liaison (All Business Units & OPCO’s)
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of projects within agreed quality and time frame
- Ensure all project deliverables are signed off Ensure project objectives are met and measurable
- Compile and manage end to end project delivery schedules for a range of new products and services to ensure timeous implementation according to committed dates and compliance with requirements Project Dashboard
- Management & Reporting to the IT Steering Committee and Senior Management on project status
- Ensure change control procedures are adhered to in the
- Project lifecycle for effective visibility, agreement, communication and escalation purposes with agreed stakeholders
- Effective project issue escalation, risks and dependency management is done effectively for all projects to ensure full resolution status is achieved within the shortest timelines
- Facilitation of project stakeholder meetings, circulation of minutes and follow up on outcomes and objectives with all concerned parties to completion Training & Mentoring project team members

Project Manager Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Telecommunications or other related field
- An MBA is an added advantage Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management in IT, Financial or Insurance industries
- Prince 2 or PMP certification an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Project Management experience in the Telecom, IT, Banking related, Engineering/IT Background candidates will have an added advantage
