1.Main purpose of the position:

The incumbent to this position is responsible for general plumbing works, ensuring all pipes, buildings, fixtures, fittings, valves, toilet systems, water systems and the general drainage systems meet required standards through continuous repair, maintenance and services.

2.Key responsibilities:

i. Installing, repairing and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution

ii. Installs ,repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets

iii. Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures, appliances

iv. Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks

v. Assemble and Install valves and fittings

vi. Performs schedule maintenance services on plumbing systems and fixtures

vii. Ensures all installation, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes

viii. Ensures all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environment protection requirement

ix. Supervision and services of boreholes

x. Prepares orders of suppliers

xi. Keeps daily report

xii Performs other related duties as required

3.Qualifications required:

i. Minimum academic qualification: Min: Form IV and FTC in Plumbing/or VETA Certificate in Plumbing

ii. Qualifications as an added advantage: Diploma in Plumbing

iii. Professional registration: NA

4.Experience required:

i. General work experience (years): Minimum of (2 years’ experience in the similar industry)

ii. Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 2 years experience in pipes installation, toilets sinks, fixtures fitting, repair and maintenance

iii. Industry: internship industrial training if any.

5.Language requirements:

English
