VACANT ANNOUNCEMENT

THE UNITED AFRICAN UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA (UAUT) is the private institute of higher education founded by Korea Church Mission Registered Trustees, with the objectives of alleviating poverty and promoting growth through raising Tanzanian Christian leaders who are equipped with excellence in wisdom, knowledge and Christianity virtues. The responsibility of the day to day running UAUT shall be vested in the University Council, with the Vice Chancellor as the main link between the Board of Trustees and the University Council.

UAUT obtained Certification of Full Registration (CFR) from Tanzania Commission for Universities since 2012.

VACANT POSITIONS

LECTURERS (2)

(i) Qualifications

Candidates for this post should hold a PhD degree with at least 3 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy institution of higher learning in Computer engineering/Information Technology or Telecommunication Engineering. He/she must have published a minimum of 3 papers in refereed journals while serving in his/her previous employment.

(ii) Duties

Teaching; conducting seminars, workshops and tutorials. The staff member is expected also to undertake research and consultancy and publish in refereed journals.

SENIOR LECTURERS (2)

(i) Qualifications

Candidates should be holders of PhD degree from a recognized University and has working experience of at least 4 years as a lecturer in an institution of higher learning. He/she should have published at least 6 papers in referred journals and must also have a good working record in his/her previous employment.

(I) Duties

As for lecturers but with added responsibilities in administration and academic leadership: supervising postgraduate students and mentoring junior academic staff.



ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (1)

(i) Qualifications

Candidates should be holders of a PhD degree from a recognized University with a working experience of at least 4 years as a senior lecturer in an institution of higher learning. He/she should have published at least 12 papers in referred journals.

(i) Duties
As for Senior Lecturer but with added responsibilities in teaching and supervision of postgraduate students, initiating research activities and mentoring junior staff especially in writing research proposals and soliciting research funds.
