Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Accountant will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and also preparing reports. The Accountant will be also performing a wide variety of finance tasks within the organization as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Prepares asset, liability, and capital (Fixed Assets and Inventory) account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information (General Journals and Provisions).
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports (Management Reports).
- Substantiates/ Reviews financial transactions (payments and invoicing) by auditing documents.
- Guides accounting, (Debtors, Creditors and general staff) by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Reconciles Assets and asset depreciation on a monthly basis.
- Prepares VAT reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintains statutory documents and certifications.
QUALIFICATION
- Excellent computer, communication and organizational skills
- First Degree in Accounting/Finance

- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- Computer literacy
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
