We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales & Marketing executive who is results oriented and confident enough to proudly say ‘I am the best Salesman/Saleswoman in town’, to bring in printing orders from clients and increase our overall production capacity.

JOB OBJECTIVE

To generate profitable sales revenues, enough to operate the productive resources of the Company at least at 75% capacity on day to day basis.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

1. The efficient management of the Sales & Marketing function

2. Training, setting staff sales targets, supervising and coordinating the Sales Staff

3. Developing new markets and new products

4. Coordinating the sales function with the Production & Procurement functions

5. Keeping Top Management fully informed to what goes on in the Sales Department

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Strategy and Planning

Developing the sales and marketing strategy and plans, policies and processes for the department with input from the CEO and ensures their effective implementation.
Aligning sales targets with the strategic business plan and annual budgets.
Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives related to the area of specialty to support achieving the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.
Any other as may be assigned from time to time depending on the needs of the company and circumstances.

Operations

Networking with and developing strong working relationships with existing and potential customers
Negotiating prices, delivery and specifications with customers and communicating those internally to the other relevant staff
Reviewing sales performance to judge whether people are meeting or exceeding targets.
Acting and behaving in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to the laws of the Country, safety, ethics and codes of conduct.

People Management

Ensuring appropriate workflow management between staff through appropriate delegation of work.
Monitoring the performance of his team on a day to day basis
Reviewing performance against agreed goals and ensure effective staff development.
Identifying training and developmental priorities for the department to ensure that all employees possess the requisite skills and knowledge to successfully perform their roles and responsibilities.
Coaching and mentoring employees as appropriate to improve individual performance and develop a motivated and high performance team.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing and Sales or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Sales of custom made products of which at least 3 years are in a similar role preferably in an Offset printing company
Proficiency in English and Swahili languages
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, persuasion, motivation, loyalty, and openness
