The successful candidate will be fully responsible to execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy meanwhile driving cost down and improving performance.
Qualifications and competencies required:
• Holder of Advanced Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Inventory or related field.
Tasks:
• Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital
• Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
• Monthly reporting on poor quality, wrong quantity and damaged items as well as proper documentation on the action taken.
• Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete/redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital
• Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
• Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
• Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.
• Ensure sub contract processes are received back and that suppliers are chased to ensure no late delivery situation.
• Provide routine management information on inventory performance
• Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs, material utilization and scrap.
• Provides advice to users regarding the inventory process
• Review all packages in the receiving bay and verify them for binning.
• Creating location for all new stock items, and document for monthly review.
• Identify if there are any discrepancies such as damaged and wrong locations, and insure the items are kept in their respective sustainable locations.
• Segregation and storage of Direct items and short term storage requests from users
• Insure appropriate location for every item in stock and initiate obsolesce procedure for all non-moving items available at store.
• Considering Safety, Security and Maintenance Aspects during binning process
• Monthly reporting on poor quality, wrong quantity and damaged items received from receiving bay as well as proper documentation on the action taken.
• Segregation and storage of Direct items and short term storage requests from users
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
